This plugin does not work when cache plugins are enabled

  • I have tried many plugins for like systems of post but found this one very attractive and beautiful UI, But due to some lacking, I am forced not to use it in production mode.

    The plugin does not update likes, dislikes if a cache plugin is enabled. I am currently using LiteSpeed Cache plugin & when the plugin is enabled likes does not update I have to purge cache in order to update likes/dislikes.

    Please solve this as soon as you get time. this plugin is a very useful plugin but if left aside it won’t survive.

    ERROR BEHAVIOUR:-
    When user clicks on like button, like button shows the updated amount of likes but if user re-visit or re-load page likes goes back to previous amount (i.e: 0) and on clicking like again it says you’ve already liked. which means its just not updating like count due to cache on server.

    I have checked it with SG Site Optimizer and W3 total cache, it works fine for me. In fact, the counter place holder does not use JavaScript when page is loaded. A PHP function is called to show value from the database.
    JavaScript is only used when the button is clicked to refresh the placeholder. Perhaps you have minified the HTML as well that the generated HTML does not update upon reload?
    However, I will still Digg into it.
