    The recurring payment does not end up getting debited through Stripe, subscriptions get placed on hold, and by the time you notice it… you are a couple of payments behind. Credit card numbers are not saved for these in Stripe… even if you DO have “Save Credit Card” checked in the plugin settings and you have WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin installed.
