I like this plugin is very helpful to avoid spammers finding user names. However it just caused a problem in my wordpress site. I tried changing the author slug to “Staff”, then I changed it back to “Author” and now all the STAFF section of my word press installation doesn’t work, if I try to see any of the URLs of my staff it gives me a PAGE NOT FOUND ERROR. I assume that this plugin changes something in the database and that is causing this error.
I deactivated the plug in, then I erase it. I also reinstalled my latest update of wordpress, but the problem is still there.
What can I do so that the staff section of my word press would work again? By the way I don’t think I am using any plugin that conflicts with this plugin.

What plugins are you using? What theme are you using? Do you have a lot of code in your theme’s functions.php file?

In your admin go to Settings > Permalinks. Click “Save Changes”. No changes are necessary.

Not much, if anything, is saved in the database that would continue to effect your site after the plugin has been deactivated.
