This plugin broke my site

  • My website was broken because of this plugin… I couldn’t event access it through my hosting, nothing worked. I ready other people suffered this, and I read that the problem was the version 2.12.0, but I am seeing now that I was able to enter the site that I have version 2.12.1 and it is still broken

    I was just able to solve the problem… here is what I did

    1. In order to know it was the spectra plugin that was making trouble I wante to the wp-config.php file and edit it to se what was wrong… so I changed the line define (‘WP_DEBUG’, false) for (‘WP_DEBUG’, true)
    2. Directly in the file manager of my hosting, I changed the name of the folder of the plugin that was braking my site, so I changed ultimate-addons-for-butenberg for ultimate-addons-for-butenberg.bak Once I did that I was hable to manage my site again
    3. I went to spectra site in www.remarpro.com and downloaded a previous stable version.
    4. I went to my site dashboard and uploaded the plugin. The site identified it was a version of an already installed plugin and asked me if I want to erase the other version.. I accepted
    5. I changed again the name of the folder to ultimate-addons-for-butenberg
    6. My site was back after one day!

    The error was due to an internal code conflict. Generally, we perform an extensive test before releasing an update but somehow this unforeseen issue slipped through. We will take steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again!
