While WP has a rest API out of the box, the default Rest API lacks a ton of features, Selecting items by name or slug, Editing post meta fields, Querying based on meta fields, Querying using the search function, Working with custom tables… This plugin could help you quickly and easily add this functionality and would save a lot of time not having to fiddle with coding custom endpoints. Also tasks that would take tens of API calls could be replaced with a single API call.
