Hi, I really like(d) this plugin when I first installed it in my blog. Then, it suddenly would only load the icon at first when you’d go into my blog, only to subsequently disappear (I also have the FB button plugin and that one would stay visible at the top and the bottom of the page.) I thought I would install the latest version because I thought that might be the source of the problem.
The real problem was that when I did that, first the wp-admin page from where I installed the plugin would go blank, and then my whole blog went blank/disappeared until I restored yesterday’s backed up version.
I even tried to install it twice, with the same disastrous results.
Can you please give me some feedback?
I’d really like to keep using this plugin, but don’t want to risk it again.

I appreciate you getting back to me.
    Cheers

    Ona

Delete the plugins using FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server. Find it in the plugins folder.

    It should be here:

    wp-content
        plugins
            pinterest-pin-it-button

    Are you using FTP?

Hey, i was using yahoo’s small business for running my wordpress. I couldnt delete the plugin since it would give an error everytime i’d try to do so. Then one of my friend (bless him) suggested i rename the bloody plugin, and it worked. the site couldnt find the plugin and then i just went on my dashboard and deleted it right off. Any idea why this one plugin made everything crash? Is it because of my theme? or because i might need some updates? Or because the pinterest pin it button is sent from hell? either way, i’m just happy everything got sorted.

thanks for the help btw! really appreciate it.

We’d love to figure how to fix this if it is in fact an issue with our plugin. We’ve extensively tested the installation and deletion process and haven’t run into this issue before.

Are you sure you’re running this particular plugin? There are several other “Pin It” button plugins on the WordPress plugin repository and they’re easy to get mixed up.

If there’s any other details you could outline and/or steps to repeat the process on a test site, we’d love to hear them so we can make the adjustments.

    Thanks!
