• I’m using GEO my WP with Buddypress, and I’m having this message: “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly”. I think that I didn’t setup correctly the API key, and I tried to fix it without success. I can’t even add location in my single profile.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @musexplat,

I can’t see the map on the page that you provided. Only the logged-in user can view the location form with the map.

Regardless, as you suggested, the error that you mentioned is usually related to the Google Maps browser API key which most likely isn’t set up properly.

The most common issues when setting up the API key is unauthorized or not properly authorized site’s URL, missing billing account, and the required API services are not enabled.

If you know how to look for JavaScript errors in the browser’s console, you will see an error message indicating the exact issue with your API key.

Or check your browser’s API key for all the issues I mentioned above.

See Step 8 of this tutorial to learn how to properly authorize your site’s URL. Make sure you enter your site’s URL as it shows in the tutorial. Which should be:

    musexplat.com/*

Next, see steps 13 to 19 to make sure you activated all the required API services. The list of services is mentioned in step 14.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for your response. Could you please send me the tutorial? I can’t see it. Besides, I opened the console and it displays the following message: “You are using this API without a key. See https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/…ium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors”. I’m getting confused. My blog is built in wordpress.com, just in case.
