This page can’t handle the request HTTP Error 500

    Wordfence shuts down my webpage. I rename the plugin in the cpanel and the page works perfectly, when I reactivate wordfence the page shutsdown again and shows this message:

    This page isn’t working
    https://www.monyma.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

    I thought the problem was caused by my hosting plan and changed it, but it is still not working. What can I do?

  • Hi @bloginon,

    I think your Wordfence install might have been corrupted between changing hosting plans. Can you perform a clean install of Wordfence?

    To do this, completely remove the wp-content/plugins/wordfence/ folder, and then reinstall the plugin from WordPress -> Plugins.

    You may also want to remove all tables relating to Wordfence in your database. (If you don’t know how to do this, don’t worry, see if the removal / reinstall works first or not)

    Hi! thanks for answering, I tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling, but it still doesn’t work.
    I don’t know how to remove the tables.
    Could you help me, please.

    Hi @bloginon,

    You’re going to want to do a full manual reset, including removing code and the database tables. If you’re not comfortable doing this your host can help.
