    Over the course of a long day I tried all the highest rated most popular backup plugins. Configuration was a pain, or authorization links were a problem, or simple scheduling was a premium feature (come on now!) and finally I found Darwin – with no reviews yet. Why not. So I’m here to shout it from the rooftops: this is the one. Easy setup, almost no configuration. The first backup failed, but I sent the error log to Aleksandr and by morning a new version was available. Worked like a charm. This is how easy WP backups need to be.

    Thank you very much for the review ! I’m trying to build a plugin that requires no technical knowledge to recover from failure of any severity. I’ve seen multiple posts here on WordPress forums, from users having backups but not being able to recover due to the simple fact that WordPress itself is not working, so they can’t start recovery process w/o external help.
