• I’ve tried a lot of Newsletter plugins. They made big promises. Some were simple some complicated. But at the end, they all fail to deliver what I need:
Beautiful designs easy to create (I’m an artist and that’s important to me).

~ Clarity of design, so that it’s easy to read

~ Flexibility of what I want to include, where and when. I have several newsletters, linked to specific categories.

~ Ability to create courses. That is an amazing feature! I’ve created free courses for some categories.

~ Clubs- I’ve presented some newsletters as Clubs instead of newsletter, to create a movement or gather a group of people with similar interests. This allows me to then address them and engage them in events or upgrade them into clients.

~ Good Support. I’m big in support. If a company does not respond to me in good time and addresses the problem to my satisfaction, I cancel. I’m too busy to waste my time like that.

~ Updating WP. It’s a drag. WP keeps upgrading every other month, or at least that’s how it feels. But I leave my blog exposed if I don’t upgrade to the newest version… and then it’s plugin nightmare!! Thank goodness that MailPoet keeps reasonably withing upgrading levels.

So you see that I ask for a lot and I’m picky on what company I stay with.

Mailpoet has satisfied all my demands and needs so far, and promptly answered to any problem.

I highly recommend it… and be creative. You can do a lot more than free newsletters with it.

  • Wow, thanks for this awesome review mariamar! : )

I like MailPoet thus far; very easy to import contact names from the csv list.

I am in the process of designing a WordPress website for our car club, and often we send out surveys to our members on activities in which they might be interested.

For example, we might word an email, this way:

Please click on the email below to indicate your interest in this event.

    I am interested
    I am not interested

With joomla, I can highlight the link, create a mailto:[email protected]
a second option below before I close off entering info, is that I can create content that will go in the subject line.

So, when the club member clicks on the email link, he is taken directly to his email and the subject line is automatically filled in, depending on the link he chose.

I can’t figure out how to do this with MailPoet. Is there something I am missing?

Thanks very much to anyone who can give me an answer.
