This is such a confusing and unnecessary change

  • So many of my clients struggle to use WordPress as it is, and this just makes it even harder.

    I’m installing the Classic Editor on every single site as soon as I upgrade it to v5.

    This really should not have been rolled out as part of the core. The existing functionality is solid and has worked well for a very long time. It wasn’t broken, so no need to “fix” it.

    I’m really disappointed by this new direction.

    @kaplunkiigirl, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. Whilst I understand you are not happy with the direction, I would love to know now it is a part of core what iterations you would like to see. I do see you’ve installed the classic editor plugin, but what could the new editor improve to see you starting to use it?
