• The plugin was not just renaimed. This is a completely different plugin. This is a membership management plugin.
WP User Avatar simply allowed admin access users to edit other user profile pics from admin profile view. As simple as that.

When we installed this plugin in our developed websites we were not looking for a membership plugin. When we want a membership plugin we install Ultimate Member.
If we do not want users to access and manage their profiles and simply want to provide to the website manager to be able to edit the user profile pictures then WP User Avatar made sense.

As it made sense that you would keep this plugin as a lite version and compete with Ultimate Member with the new plugin. You would have 2 plugins instead of 1 and users could make their choice based on the type of infastructure they wanted to implement.

I have to say that this little manouver of yours will cost you all of our clients. Not only in all installations where we have WP User Avatar we will migrate to another plugin that does the same, as we will definetely not implement your membership plugin and keep using and advising with even more fervor the install and subscription of Ultimate Member.

You should be banned from WordPress for dishonest service, disloyalty for your customers and misleading information.
