    For one reason or another I cannot have wordpress in a seperate directory and have the index and .htaccess in the root. I’ve followed the “guidelines” but they are missing something. I remember before, when this method worked, adding something to the .htaccess to make it work.

    See it will setup right for the most part, but doesnt go into the folder it needs to when pulling up pages. Anyway what was that bit of code that you had to add to the .htaccess?

    Please don’t bump threads. Now it appears the post has been answered, which of course it hasn’t, since anyone who knows the answer to your question is apparently not online here right now.

    We’re all volunteers. Patience is a virtue. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for those with an answer to read posts.

    If you go onto the admin panel then go Options -> General, there is a field that lets you put in the home page if it is different to the directory you installed in. This sounds like what you need?

    No I had all of that done, my only problem was the .htaccess, I’ve figured it out though. Thanks to the both of you.
