This is all I want to do

I have a menu bar atop my header image. All I want to do is to be able to associate the pertinent posts with the title in the menu bar. That’s all. For instance, I would like all posts about free items to be able to be pulled up under Freebies. When a visitor clicks on Freebies, they see all the posts about Freebies. I know the menu categories are static. I know what I want works, I see it on a thousand pages every day. Through my stats, I see people are visiting the various buttons I have on my menu, but they aren’t seeing content. I have been struggling with this, and it seems to be one of the most basic things all bloggers are doing. Help. I am using Coraline.
