When upgrading the plugin I found myself with an error:

“This field has syntax errors.”

But this appears only in the FROM field, which it used to work before upgrading the plugin. In the from field I had:

[your-name]

But now it appears this error below the field: “This field has syntax errors.”

What is wrong?

@boris PAING

In the MAIL tab there is a typo in your Additional Headers (missing ‘r’):
En la pesta?a de correo hay un error en sus Cabezados Adicionales (falta ‘r’)

reply-to: [your-email]

There is also a typo in your Message Body (missing ‘e’):
(También hay un error en el Cuerpo del Mensaje (falta ‘e’))

[your-email]

Boris PAING: Ha testado quitar “sender: [email protected]” en las cabeceras adicionales ?

******************************

[email protected] y [email protected]
y

barnez, SOLO COPIE MAL EN EL JPG

SMTP WP

I need the form to reply to a company email address AND the email that the user enters into the form. It sends to the company email but no to the user’s email.

Please help!

@khawkins

Add the company address as a CC in Additional Headers.

I just tried that and It’s still not working. ??

Just read your original message again. Seems I misunderstood you:
Try:

To: [email protected]
Additional Headers: Reply-To: [your-email]

Where [your-email] is the mail-tag where the user inserts their email address in the form.

you must disable the plugins where they have set up the account smtp:

prueben:
Desactivar plugins de configiracion de correo:
yo estaba ocupando el WP SMTP,
lo desactive y funciono…

sender: [email protected]
Reply-To: [your-email]

I got the following message in the additional headers field “This field has syntax errors.”. After reviewing the previous threads I replaced the line Reply-To: [your-email] with Reply-To: [email-812] and the error message went away but when i tested the contact form none of the info i input into the form carried over. It appeared the following:

From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
Subject: [your-subject]

Message Body:
[your-message]

This e-mail was sent from a contact form on Marketing Promo Gurus (https://marketingpromogurus.com)

How do I fix this so I can use this plugin

@mpgurus

Please start a new topic. This one is 3 months old and marked as resolved. Include screenshots of your FORM and MAIL configurations in admin.

[email your_email class:your_email placeholder “Email”]

Additional Header -> Reply-To: [your_name] <[your_email]>

Says syntax error,cant shake it no matter what I try

@barnez – why start a new topic when this is not resolved? Marked as resolved yes, but not actually resolved.

Whoever has the power to unresolve this topic should do it. Then perhaps the CCF7 developer will take the feedback and fix this false-positive validation error.

@regisit

This topic was started by @belenberrueta 5 months ago, and his/her syntax error was resolved. Syntax errors are not a problem with the plugin, but are there to highlight mail and form configurations that are either incorrect or not best practice.

If you have a problem understanding why you have a syntax error on your form, then you should start a new topic as per the forum guidelines. Include screenshots of your configuration in the admin section, and someone will likely indicate what adjustments you need to make.

Again, these syntax errors are not false positives, but intentional flags to help users improve their mail setup and ensure safe delivery in these days of ever more sophisticated spam.
