This event does not have a physical location always unticked

    Hi,

    I spotted in one of the other support requests that you’ve set the ‘This event does not have a physical location.’ to be unticked, I’m not sure if this was intentional but now when my users edit events without a location they need to tick this box on each edit. Is this a bug specific to my site? Or would it be possible to have this tick box set depending on what was previously specified against the event?

    Much appreciated.

    No, the auto-checked was the bug in the previous version. Events Manager default (using Google Maps) is: the checkbox unchecked and you’ll need to either enter a location OR check the checkbox.

    Within Events Manager, when creating a new event, certain fields have be set manually: dates, times & location.

    Thanks for the reply, so if I’m understanding correctly if a user doesn’t want to have a location against an event they need to tick the box each time they make an edit to their event?

    No, the checkbox means “Location ID = 0” if checked. And when the event is updated, Events Manager should save that value. SO not on every edit, only when creating a new event.

    Perfect thanks, I’ll do some more digging to see if I can work out why that’s not happening on my site.

    I do see there is a bug, that the status of the checkbox is no longer saved. I will look into it. It might be a bug in EM or this plugin.

    This issue should be solved in version 4.0.2.
    Please update this add-on when prompted ??
