This email already exists

Since the plugin support multi subscription on different list (or combinations of lists/options) for the same email, actually there is not such block. Anyway since many people think it is important we are going to add it.

Of course is a user is subscribing to your blog for the second time, is not a good experience to see a message like “this email is already subscribed”)… eventually a more complex message with a way to solve the problem should be given.

Was this feature finally included? I’m having trouble with this as my client wants just one email to be subscribed to their only newsletter. Actually, they are using the plugin just to register user that later will be exported to, and then imported into Mailchimp.

The the subscription is always unique but since different forms can end into different lists, the subscription of the same email is accepted multiple times. But when you export the contact is unique.

I could finally implement it myself, as my client needed to have only one email registered. They are using this subscription plugin to prepare coupon campaings where a user can only register once. I know that maybe this is not the right plugin to do that, but still. If you wish, I can send you the code where I achieved this so you can make it an option for your plugin. ??
