This email address has already subscribed – error

Hello.
I have a problem with Hustle MailChimp integration.
Hustle says: “This email address has already subscribed.” It happens when I try to subscribe with the same email address for the second time. But of course, I didn’t confirm it for the first time (through opt-in), so it should behave like it’s not in the list. And it obviously isn’t, because my list in MailChimp stays totally empty.Furthermore, the error shows with some email addresses already for the first time.
Local Hustle list is disabled.
Pop-up is set on exit.
So far I have tried to disable all plugins and pause Cloudflare with no results.
