    Hello.
I have a problem with Hustle MailChimp integration.
Hustle says: “This email address has already subscribed.” It happens when I try to subscribe with the same email address for the second time. But of course, I didn’t confirm it for the first time (through opt-in), so it should behave like it’s not in the list. And it obviously isn’t, because my list in MailChimp stays totally empty.

Furthermore, the error shows with some email addresses already for the first time.

    Local Hustle list is disabled.

    Pop-up is set on exit.

So far I have tried to disable all plugins and pause Cloudflare with no results.

    Thanks.

    Hey @fkoomek,

    Hope you’re well.

I am afraid it’s not something Hustle can do anything about it. When you activate double opt-in and register some email address MailChimp saves that address somewhere in their database with “pending” status. So doesn’t allow to add second time even the email address still not confirmed.

If you want a feature request about that you should contact with MailChimp side.

Also, they have some spam email protection, so when you try fake email addresses it’s possible that you got an error.

    I hope it helps!

    Cheers,

    Hello.
Thank you for your answer. It makes a sense that Mailchimp has set some limits. However, I use for example Woocommerce addon for Mailchimp which also works via API and it allows me to enter one email how many times I want without any problems and I always get a new double opt-in message to my email box. The same is for Mailchimp stock Pop-ups.

I had the same issue, so I tried the other option – the local hustle list and the functionality seems to be working, but I cannot locate where the submitted emails go to.. Hope you can help with that. Thanks.

    Hey @fkoomek,

    Hope you’re well.

I understand the situation, reported this to our developers. So when they check and provide some feedback about what we can do about it I will share the opinion with you. Maybe we can add option or follow other plugins way for future versions.

    Hey @smendels,

    Hope you’re well too ??

    When you use local list, you can find registered emails at Hustle > Pop-ups page and you need to click three dots button > View email list;

    Is that what are you searching for? If not, According to www.remarpro.com forum guides, you need to create a new thread;

Unless users have the exact same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme, and configurations, then the odds are the solution for one user will not be the same for another. For this reason, we recommend people start their own topics.

Then we can help you further.

I’ll be waiting for other information ??
Actually, I found out that problem occurs when using for example other pop-up plugin – Pop-up by Supsytic as well. However, I have a feeling that it worked corectly some time ago. Looks like something has changed in Mailchimp maybe.

    Hi,

i was loving Hustle, but now i have the same problems as fkoomek.

Every NEW E-mail i enter gets the message “This email address has already subscribed”. It has surely nothing to do with mailchimps database, as i know the mails i entered are fresh gmail accounts. And were never on my mailchimp list.

Btw, the PopUp i′ve created didn′t work either. Bu i guess, this is for another thread.

    Hey @chuckruhsonic,

    Hope you’re well.

    I don’t think this is the same problem. The thread is related to try same email address the second time. But your issue is adding email addresses the first time. Also, according to www.remarpro.com forum guides, you need to create a new thread;

Unless users have the exact same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme, and configurations, then the odds are the solution for one user will not be the same for another. For this reason, we recommend people start their own topics.

I can see the problem on your site but I can’t replicate it on my test site. So can you check API credentials of MailChimp and you choose the correct list? If everything is correct, can you try plugin and theme conflict tests? For conflict test, you should deactivate all plugins and activate twenty seventeen theme, then try only with Hustle plugin.

If the problem continues please let us know the results on a new thread.

    Cheers,
    Oguz

    Hi Oguz,

    thanks for the reply.

    1. THE API credentials of MailChimp are correct.
    2. The mailchimp list ID is correct and i have only one list so far.
    3. Even after the conflict test, i get the same error.

    `newsletter_error

So, no matter what, i get allways the “allready subscribed” error.

    Best Regards

    Hey @chuckruhsonic,

    Hope you’re well.

Are you using the latest version of Hustle? Also, did you make any customization on manage form elements settings?

If above not help, can you deactivate MailChimp integration and try with the local list?

Lastly, I want to mention to create new thread again. This is not the same problem with the thread. Even if it’s same we are asking for a new thread for different users to keep everything in order. So please create your own thread include the steps we tried and we will continue.

I had the same issue. After setting Allow Duplicate sign ups in the Mailchimp integration set up, the error changed to “Something went wrong. Please try again”.

I kept thinking about what could be blocking the sign ups and then it hit me, my Mailchimp account name and lists had special characters. Particularly in my case, I had “, Inc.” at the end of my company name. Once I removed this, all my sign ups started working again. I hope this helps you.

    Hi @norbarca,

Thanks for the additional info but I’m afraid that I still can’t replicate this on my end.
I have created a new list with “Inc.” at the end of the name and also changed Account name in mailchimp.com/account/details/ to include “Inc.” but I still had no issues submitting emails.
Can you tell me if I’m missing something here?

    Cheers,
    Predrag

I think you misunderstood. My profile had special characters “,” and “.” in my profile name and list names. Remove any special characters from these places. Do not add “Inc”.
