If whenever one of my images is deleted from WP, it causes the subject error in any simply gallery which contained that image. There’s no way to edit the gallery after the fact and fix the issue without having to rebuild the entire gallery. How do I resolve this without having to add all the previous images back manually? How do I determine WHICH images are causing the problem? Is there a log file or debug I can enable?

    Thank you.

if your block cannot be displayed when reopened (edited), this means that something has changed its structure. In most cases, another plugin adds its attributes or tacgs to the created gallery and after that the block will not pass validation. Very rarely, a block breaks an image from the media library, but this can happen due to a special symbol in the image description due to incorrect encoding. Your question is very broad and there is no way to give you a simple answer. And for complex solutions, you must have experience in debugging in WordPress and the ability to use the developer tool in browser (to view JavaScript errors), If you have such experience, then your question seems strange.

I seriously doubt it’s another plugin because it all works until an image (stored in the gallery) is removed from my media library. Then, that simply gallery black fails to load for editing. Regular WP Gallery Blocks work fine.

I have to recreate it using the remaining media. The BLOCK is NOT breaking the IMAGE. The removed IMAGE is breaking the BLOCK. There are NO SPECIAL SYMBOLS and it works fine until an image is removed FROM MY MEDIA LIBRARY. Also, if I import any ID that is missing/does not exit, it also breaks the block. Why is that?

In order to troubleshoot, it helps to understand HOW Simply Gallery is reading the thumbnails in the editor. Which WP functions/PHP or javascript is it using to display the block in the editor? What values is it expecting? You provide NO technical answer and it doesn’t help. Just excuses as to why it may be complicated!

As I see you are using version 2.1.4 This version was current 3 years ago, perhaps you should update the plugin version, since my plugin and WordPress have also changed a lot during this time.
