Hi,
We’ve identified that there are actually two issues with the layout you provided.
The first issue is caused by how the Block Editor handles links set to open in new windows (known as targets) that aren’t crafted in a way to avoid a potential security issue. Some of the widgets added by the theme you’re using don’t account for these links so the saved page builder data is different to the data escaped by the Block Editor. When there’s a difference, the Block Editor flags the data like it’s doing for you. We’ve come up with a fix for this issue and it’ll be released in an upcoming update.
Once the update has been released you can resolve this issue by opening an affected page, recovering the block, and hen making any change to the SiteOrigin Layout block – the easiest is to duplicate a widget and then delete the duplicated widget. This will regenerate the builder data with the applied fix. Save the page and reload, and the editor will work as expected. No action is required to fix new pages as the fix will be applied upon creating the SiteOrigin Layout block.
The second issue is that you’re adding blocks inside of some of the widgets. We don’t support this at the moment so you’ll need to remove the blocks and the text directly. To do this please open the affected page and recover the layout. Open the first SiteOrigin Editor widget and open the Visual tab.
- Copy all of the text
- Remove all of the text
- Paste the copied text using “Paste as Text”. This is done by pressing Shift + CTRL (or Command) V.
If you’re having trouble with getting Paste as Text to work (as not all browsers support it), you can also paste the text into a text editor (such as Notepad), copy the pasted text, and then paste it back into the editor.
Please repeat this process for the rest of the SiteOrigin Editor widgets and then save.
Kind regards,
Alex
