this block contains unexpected or invalid content

  • I am going crazy. Each time I open this page for edit, half of the content will disappear and pop up the unexpected content EM. Sometimes it will be only for classic block – then I will just simply convert it back to classic – but sometimes it will eat up the entire column with reviews which is standard paragraph block stack and there’s no way to get it back then.
    I have 6 tabs, 2 columns in each of them, and seemingly it’s something beyond WP capacity (?).
    What am I doing wrong?

    What version numbers of WordPress and the Theme are you currently running on your site?

    Have you tried deactivating plugins one by one to see if the editor works properly when a certain plugin is OFF?

    I tried deactivating all plugins except Kadence toolkit+blocks – still the same.
    I use all newest versions, WP 5.1.1 and Pinnacle 1.7.3

    Sadly, no. The problem is if I open this page for edit I see the error in backend, and if I save even without touching anything, it goes all crazy. Sometimes it is only in backend, but especially with galleries it’s behaving this way also on frontend (if I do not close the editor meanwhile, it is fine, but with more complex pages it’s impractical).
    Shall I register a screen video to demonstrate? It may be easier to explain this way.

    Hi! no problem I was travelling too, only got home today.

    It is functioning because I manually restored the previous version, but this way I am blocked from editing anything in here. I can select the complete one, produced and saved in one long session, but this is a page that will require updates every now and then, and I would also like to build others in this format. If I open the page for any edit I get the faulty blocks as on screenshots, and I’m blocked from editing them. Sometimes – rarely – converting back to classic block helps, sometimes it doesn’t.

    I wouldn’t be using classic blocks all that much, but I have difficulties in getting embed youtube and kadence galleries working otherwise (see my other thread for details). The columns layout seems to be generating most problems of this kind, but as it is quite a basic layout function, I am not really willing to sacrifice that. It is probably not even template specific so I understand if you don’t wish to spend much time on this, but you’re always so incredibly helpful as a support team that I did a stretch and asked here.

    Did you clear your cache after deactivating your plugins? Are you using the latest version of the theme and of WordPress?

    Yes, of course to all. I also just updated to WP 5.2, and updated Kadence Gutenberg plugin – but this didn’t do the trick.

    I will be testing this once again this week on another page that I’m about to build in the same form from scratch, maybe this time with shortcodes for yt and galleries instead of classic blocks workaround…

    Hey,
    Can you right click, click “inspect” and then in the popup click on the “console” tab? There can you copy the errors and post here.

    Also if you try restoring a block does it fail?

    Hi! Sorry it took a while as I was creating a new page with identical layout – https://klarakolonits.com/verdi/
    So far no issues there, as I do not use classic block at all.
    Shortcodes in place of classic block do the trick – the only downside is that I need to create the gallery first in a classic block as a workaround, then copy the picture IDs and then include it as shortcode block – so if/when you manage to add a basic gallery as a kadence block, I’ll be golden.

    But as we are trying to troubleshoot here, for the bug’s sake on https://klarakolonits.com/en/mozart/ that I didn’t convert to all shortcodes yet:

    >> If I click on “attempt block recovery”, nothing happens on some of them, half of the column will be recovered on other blocks.

    >> In Inspect>Console bug log, I only see this and I find it irrelevant “100×100-77777a7f.png:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)”
