• I am using ultimate members plugin.

When a user creates an account, then deletes the account, and then decides to make the account again with the same email as the original account, they receive the following message when they click the activation link (sent in the email)- “This activation link is expired or have already been used”

The only caching that I know would be occurring is with SG optimizer. I have disabled it, and still the same issue. The plugin is up to date. I have also tried disabling various plugins, but still same issue

    Hi @ilj99 ,

    Thanks for contacting support.

This issue may be because of a plugin/theme conflict. Can you please do a quick conflict test and see if the issue goes away? This doc explains how to do a conflict test if you are not sure: How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?

    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/96-how-to-do-a-plugin-theme-conflict-test

    Let me know.

    Thanks

    Sorry for the delay,

I have deactivated all plugins and reverted to the original theme, but the same thing still happens.

When this does happen, the user also receives a “Welcome” message. It seems like the email service (i.e. Outlook) is scanning the link which activates the account before a person actually opens the email and clicks the link.
