Third Party Software/API/Library

Hi – I am currently in the process of creating my own website and considering using Word Press. one of my main requirement is to be able to use some complex analytics and pool data from external sources.
To do so, i have found a third party software based on an API that can pool data and make calculations based on this data. how easy is it to incorporate third party software in a Word Press made website?
