Third Party Office365 not working

    I am configuring the SMTP according to the documentation for Easy WP SMTP. My site is hosted with netsol but my email is handled locally with a third party using office365. When I test the email on the Easy WP SMTP settings page, I get a Gateway Timeout error.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi @nantucketnet.

    This error message most probably means that your SMTP Host or SMTP Port is invalid. Check chose again and also be sure to set proper Type of Encryption.

    Another possibility as that your website can’t connect to SMTP server. For example, it can be disallowed by SMTP server’s firewall.
