Thinks I'm a crawler

  • I was using Wifi connection and got this message after visiting 2 pages:

    Your access to this service has been temporarily limited. Please try again in a few minutes. (HTTP response code 503)

    Reason: Exceeded the maximum number of page not found errors per minute for a crawler.

  • Interesting. Is your IP different when you are using a wired connection? I mean the website should see the same external IP address if you are connecting through the same gateway.

    Hey Tim, wired connection? Please elaborate.

    I was testing on my iphone which was connected thru a wifi at home.
