They ruined it

The old version was one of the best plugins. This new version doesn’t work. It demands you reauthenticate, and when you go do it, logging in to Google etc. then it fails and says “You must log in to access the admin area.” even though I am already logged in and on my site’s dashboard. I checked and no cookies are being blocked.
The new version is also less functional than the old version, they have stripped out a lot of the features but added a lot of bugs.
They also seem to have gone in an ecommerce direction, which is fine, but I run news sites that don’t sell anything.
With other, newer tools on the market there is no real reason to use this anymore, but even if I wanted to, it no longer works.
