If you plan on having A LOT OF FOLDERS to accommodate A LOT of photos and A LOT of variants for your products…. I would not recommend this plugin.

The default sort is by “creation date.”

AND YOU CANNOT set the default sort to anything else.

I contacted support and they said there is no option to set the default sort to anything else in this time.

They can write the code to sort lists… and they give you the option to set how those lists are sorted…. but they can’t give you a way to set the default sort?!?!?

I’m EXTREMELY disappointed to find out a PAID PLUGIN can’t give you this very basic option.

    I can’t believe it.

@andrewstanley Thanks for your feedback. While there is an option to easily sort the existing folders A – Z / Z – A, the newly created folder is expected to be displayed on top. This makes it easier for users to find the new folder they created.? You can always sort your folders after you create/remove/change the position of folders.

Your described workflow is not for everyone. I mean, Microsoft Windows was here way before WordPress, has a market share of 73%, and even its default sorting is alphabetical A->Z, not last created. But even Microsoft gives us the option to sort our folders how we want. I’m pretty sure Mac’s default folder sort is alphabetical A->Z. It’s practically been conditioned.

And the concept behind coding this is so basic I don’t understand why it wasn’t implemented. I’ve written custom tools for Autodesk Maya using Mel and Python, and creating buttons and setting defaults for list sorting is not difficult.

I’m not an affiliate for NinjaTeam, but for a one-time payment of $52 for a lifetime license, FileBird has this feature, whereas you guys charge $49 a year for your monthly basic, which I was more than happy to pay $49 a year before realizing this. I really like the way your plugin looks and some of the extra features you guys have and would have preferred if you guys just had this default sorting option to begin with.

Hello again, we understand your expectation and we’ll consider adding support for this setting and let users choose how they want the feature to work. Please let me know your thoughts!
