1. Your Site Health information or You can share privately if you prefer via this form.
2. The subdomain where your stories are working.

Have you also tried reaching out to your hosting provider who may be able to provide some useful information into why this may be happening?

Happy to check your setup once we have the Site Health and see if we can spot anything that could be causing this.

@gsonntag thank you for providing this information. To see if this is a plugin or theme conflict would you be able to follow the steps below:

Use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.

• Please enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if you still get the issue.
• Enable plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
• Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.

I did as recommended above. With all plug-ins, except Health Check Troubleshooter and Web Stories, the Web Stories function properly.

I am using the PageLayer and PageLayer Pro plug-ins and when i enable either of them then Web Stories do not function.

However, on a subdomain, which has PageLayer and PageLayer Pro plug-ins enabled, Web Stories work properly. Both the main domain and the sub domain are running the most recent versions of all plug-ins.

@gsonntag thank you for following the steps. This indicates a conflict somewhere with the PageLayer plugin. So far I am unable to recreate this using the free plugin.

Do you have the exact same PageLayer setup and settings on both your main domain and sub-domain?

On your main domain site if you go to Settings > General do your WordPress address and Site Address match?

I would suggest reaching out to PageLayer support who will be able to assist you further with this and identify what is causing the conflict.

thinking that might be problem, i am going to move the wWP files on the main domain to the root directory and see what happens.

@gsonntag You won’t need to make those changes this shouldn’t make any difference to how Web Stories behave.

I would suggest reaching out to the PageLayer team for further help who should be able to identify the cause of the conflict here.
