I Just started trying out the SmartCrawl plugin on our sandbox site – trying to move away from Yoast SEO.

One of the first things I did was to start crawling the site. That process stopped after a few seconds with the following error message: “There was an error crawling, we weren’t able to get meaningful results”

Debug was switched on and did not show any relevant messages while running.

    See selected technical details below:

    Hello @awilmsmeier,

Our developer checked your site and made necessary adjustments on our side. Checkup scan should now run on your site correctly.
Please note that there is limit on Checkup Scans – it can only run once a day.

Let us know if it works for you from now on.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Kasia,
Can you elaborate what your developers have done? I am a bit surprise as I have not share any login details.

Also: This is our sandbox site – What do we need to do to make this work on our production site?

Finally: I had received another message from James asking for more details so I am a bit confused about what the current status really is?
    Please advise…
    Andreas

    Hey @awilmsmeier,

    Hope you’re well today.

Because of some checks go to our API and return the results to your site, we can debug limitedly from our side. So if something goes wrong we can fix for some cases. We are still checking some API’s and making improvements and it should be solved at one of the next plugin updates or maybe with API update ??

If the problem solved for now, you can answer James email with “it’s already solved” or just ignore it and I can ping James about it. If not solved please answer email with details.

    Cheers,
    Oguz
