    Hello,

I have set the translation to automatic and I get the following error in every wordpress item I’m trying to translate.
“There was an error connecting lingotek.
There was an error uploading wordpress item xx.”

Note that I have an account at lingotek and my status is connected.

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Chriz12,

Do you have any posts or pages that work with an automatic profile, and don’t result in the error?

Also, what is the type of WordPress item that gave the error?

One last question–do you use proxies or firewalls in relation to your website?

    Hey jbhovik,

no I get the same error with all my pages/posts/recipes( WP Ultimate Recipe plugin).

I have contacted my hosting service (inmotion) and assure me that there is nothing blocking the communication with lingotek.

    Thank you.

I have the same problem, I’m on local wordpress install using xampp though

Our plugin communicates with the Lingotek API Server and so your server has to be able to make those outgoing calls to our server. Have you been able to upload any Posts manually?

How can I upload a post manually?

If you navigate to your Posts page you can either select the Posts and select Upload to Lingotek from the dropdown menu or hover over the post and there should be an item that says Upload to Lingotek or lastly you can click the orange icon that looks like an Upload button.

I tried that but I get the same error.

I just realize that in Translation -> Settings -> Account -> Community I only have the option of none, I don’t have the option WordPress + Lingotek as the tutorial shows.

I don’t know if that is the problem.

I am getting the same problem. And I have just started to use Lingotek. How can I make sure my server can “make those outgoing calls to” Lingotek API Server, erichie?

    Thanks for the help,

    Gustavo

    Hi everyone.

    Hello everyone,

It seems like this is a more widespread problem than just a couple people. @chriz12 yes that would be a problem if you do not have a Community. For everyone else with the problem if you go to the same place Chriz12 mentioned do you have a Community selected? I will do some serious digging into this to find out what is happening so that we can get this issue fixed for you guys.

Thank you Erichie for your answer.

At the page “Translation -> Settings -> Account -> Community” is a lonely choice for me : “General Score”, which is the Name of my website.

Can’t find anything but here about this problem, so help would be appreciated ??

    Thanks again.

Thank you erichie for the answer.
Is there a way to fix the Community issue or should I wait for more instructions?
