    Hi there @blakecarpenter ????!

Everything checks out in help/system status but I am still getting “There was a problem with your sending method. Please check if your sending method is properly configured.”?

Can you please send (copy & paste) the information from?MailPoet > Help > System Info? Please make sure to remove all the sensitive private information (like your key) from that.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Cheers!

    Hello again @blakecarpenter ,

Thank you for getting back to us and sending over the information that we needed.

Your MailPoet Sending Service was previously paused because we received a high number of spam complaints from your subscribers.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that you were sending spam or that your site was compromised. However, it indicates that some of your subscribers manually marked your email as spam in their inbox. This could occur for several reasons, such as:

    • Sending emails to individuals who didn’t provide clear consent.
    • Sending too frequently or with content your subscribers didn’t expect.
    • Sending to a list that hasn’t been maintained or cleaned in a long time.

Since it’s been a while since your account was paused, we no longer have access to the detailed logs to offer specific insights about the complaints.

We’ve restored your sending service so you can begin sending emails again. If your account gets paused in the future, updated logs will allow us to investigate and provide actionable recommendations.

To resume sending, please ensure you click the “Resume Sending” button on the MailPoet > Emails page in your WordPress dashboard.

    Recommendations to Prevent Future Issues:

To reduce the risk of spam complaints and ensure smooth email delivery, we highly recommend the following:

    • Review your list: Ensure all recipients on your list have provided explicit consent to receive emails from you. If your list hasn’t been cleaned in a while, consider using a list-cleaning service.
    • Focus on engagement: If you exclude subscribers who haven’t interacted with your emails in a while from your email campaigns, you minimize the chances of them marking you as spam. You can create a special re-engagement Email campaign later for this segment to win them back – or let them go permanently.
    • Set clear expectations: Make sure your signup forms clearly state what type of emails subscribers will receive and how often.
    • Protect your forms:Use a CAPTCHA on all signup forms to prevent unauthorized or spam signups.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.
