My WP smtp mail service stoped working, though i enter the right details and password.

    this is the info supplied:

Could not authenticate your SMTP account.

This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.

Typically this error is returned when the email or password is not correct or is not what the SMTP host is expecting.
    Recommended next steps:

Triple check your SMTP settings including host address, email, and password. If you have recently reset your password you will need to update the settings.
Contact your SMTP host to confirm you are using the correct username and password.
Verify with your SMTP host that your account has permissions to send emails using outside connections.

it’s an OUTLOOK.COM account whe when i sent test e-mail i’ve got en email from outlook.com tells me that there was suspicious attempt to to log in, so it has been blocked.
so i opened the outlook.com security panel and picked “THAT WAS ME” on the suspicious attempt, i sayd that now i’ll get “less interferes” on this account. But i still cannot send that test email.

  • Hi @danezeq,

When you get a chance, could you please share a full error log recorded when you send a test email from WP Mail SMTP > Email Test? Here’s a screenshot for the option to get a full error log.

Usually, the authentication error indicates that SMTP Authentication is disabled in your account or you might need to use an App password instead of using your regular account password.

    Thanks ??
