    Hello,

    I just started the adventure on wordpress ^^
    And I have a question regarding the installation of Woocommerce, indeed I can not proceed to the next step of the installation because I have this message “There was a problem updating your preferences.”

    I did update the PHP of the site to version 8.0 but nothing happens.
    I removed the theme put the storefront to see if the problem came from the theme but no still the same problem.
    I uninstalled all the extensions but same thing…

    For information my wordpress site does not have an associated domain name yet so it is not SSL encrypted. Is it due to that?

 I tested the 2 PHP version to 7.3 or 7.4.1 in CPanel but it doesn't change...
I'm still stuck on the page "Welcome to WooCommerce
Tell us about your store and we'll help you configure in no time "

The message is the same when I try to skip the configuration.

Don't you think this is due to the domain that is not yet transferred? Here is my current domain: https://yeqi1231.odns.fr/ (with the https crossed out)

    WooCommerce should work under a staging site without SSL.

    I’ve checked your site, and I can see that products are displaying. It seems that you were able to install WooCommerce, right?

    Yes everything is fine I asked my host to move the word press installation folder and I changed the PHP settings to 7.4 and everything seems to work. ??

    Do you know if Woocommerce works with version 8.0?
