• I am also getting the aforementioned:
“There was a problem authorizing with Eventbrite. Please try again in a moment”

I’ve deactivated and deleted both offending plugins 3+ times now to no avail. Might the error be caused by the new WordPress update?

    Please help me resolve this!

Hi laustintransl8n, are you still having this issue? That error will often go away by itself (we’ve never found a definitive cause for it on our end).

No… I am still having the exact same issue…
    Grrr
    Please help!?!?!

@automattic et al. The solution was simple. The outgoing connections to the eventbrite plugin were being blocked by my server as a security measure. I manually went in and, after identifying which ip addresses were connected to this request, I ‘allowed’ them to communicate/removed them from the blocked outgoing connections list… problem solved.

Perhaps others would benefit from this fix as well. Just saying.

@laustintransl8n – could you (without going into exact details, I imagine that could get complicated) describe how you did this? I had this error, tried turning off my antivirus and then got another error instead: “Failed to load your request token while connecting to Eventbrite. Please try again in a moment.” Wondering if I need to log into my cpanel to change some settings?
