In 2022, I was a big fan of AMP because it helped me optimize our bdlinks website. However, we see a warning that Universal Google Analytics will be discontinued, and there is no support for Analytics 4 in AMP. Both are services provided by Google. Another developer has created a way to support Analytics 4 in AMP in some way, but Site Kit does not have any options. I’m at a loss as to what to do.

    Hi @bdlinks,

Thanks for reaching out. I can understand the frustration regarding Google Analytics 4 in AMP. While we’re limited to Site Kit queries here in the plugin support forums you can follow progress on support for AMP from the related GitHub issue on the AMP projects GitHub repository, with a particular mention on some workarounds here. When you mention another developer has a solution this isn’t an official solution at this point, but certainly if this works for you then you can continue to use Site Kit with your own custom GA4 snippet. Site Kit shows data based on a Universal Analytics property at present, so your own GA4 snippet won’t interfere with any Site Kit functionality.

As soon as AMP is supported in Google Analytics 4 we can then ensure it is available within Site Kit for all plugin users.
