    Hi,

I have been trying for some time to figure out the reason for this error and it is not typing or copying error, the api key is correct. So what is causing this error? If the plugin works, it will help me a lot.

    att

    Well,

    I ran some tests:
? using a fresh local WP 4.9 and online WP 4.9
? using Import YouTube videos as WP Posts 2.0
? using an unrestricted API key (be sure to check this: https://imgur.com/GdM0cM3)
? doing a query using params : Query type = Playlist, Query = PLAD454F0807B6CB80 (for this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAD454F0807B6CB80)
? doing a query using params : Query type = Keywords, Query = Test
? doing a query using params : Query type = Channel, Query = UC_yP2DpIgs5Y1uWC0T03Chw (targetting this channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_yP2DpIgs5Y1uWC0T03Chw)

    All works as expected.

    Some tips:
? be sure to set correctly your API key: in the Libraries section, Youtube Data API v3 should be enabled
? be sure that you didn’t do any mistake copying/pasting the API key
? in order to be sure it doesn’t come from the referers put it temporarily to None (wait for few minutes for the changes to be applied). https://imgur.com/GdM0cM3
? be sure you put a correct channel ID if you search videos from a specific channel, a correct playlist ID for a specific playlist

    ***UPDATE***
Things are now working! You are AWESOME! Thanks for the fix.

    Hi @mcleare1,

I guess this come from your API key configuration.

To be sure, email me your current API key at enguerrandeep[at]gmail-dot-com

Doing some tests with @mcleare1, we noticed there’s an issue with Hostgator.
Some basic PHP module seems to be missing.

    Hi @enguerranws,

I’m having the same problem and I’ve already tried everything you said in this thread.

I’ve the updated version, but no matter the query type and channel/playlist id I use, the same message always appears.

Do you have any guess on what it might be? What data would you need to try to figure it out?

    Cheers

    Hi @enguerranws/ all,

So I’m having exactly the same issue with the API key message and as it turns out my client is hosted on Hostgator.
Was there any solution to the missing PHP module on their servers ?

    Cheers

    Martin
