• Today my website randomly said, “There has been a critical error on this website” with a link to “Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.” There are no issues shown on my WP Admin. The theme was updated earlier today and I made a few new posts. How do I find out whats happened?

  • Hi honeybeeflo,

The critical error and 500 internal server errors on your website are usually due to PHP issues, memory limits, or a plugin or theme conflict. To troubleshoot the issues, you can refer to this article, enable WordPress debugging mode, or check the server error logs to see if anything gets logged there.

If you have trouble doing the steps or need help,?you can also contact your hosting support team to help you fix them.

    Hope it helps!

Hey @honeybeeflo! Sorry to hear about the trouble. If you recently updated your theme or added new posts, it could be related to a plugin.

Here’s a quick fix you can try: go to your cPanel, find public_html, then wp-content, and finally Plugins. Rename all plugins (e.g., change RankMath to RankMath1). After that, try logging in again.

This trick has helped me resolve similar issues on my website. Give it a shot, and I hope it works for you too!
