There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file.

that’s the error i get when i wanna go to https://kimba-bremen.com/wp-admin/install.php. but it is there. i created the wp-admin-directory and uploaded all the files i downloaded + my wp-config.php and i still get this error. help anyone??? the file’s there..

no, i get a 404 there. but i have all the data in an extra-directory that i called wp-admin. so from what my little brain would think it should be at the above link, right? but it isn’t.. ???

Are you trying to install into two directories ?

hm? don’t know.. am i? no, i put everything into that “wp-admin” folder/directory which is on my server kimba-bremen.com. and since in the readme-page that comes with the downloaded files it says: “[…] Launch /wp-admin/install.php in your browser. This should setup the tables needed for your blog […] i thought i was supposed to create that wp-admin directory. ??

If when someone goes to
https://kimba-bremen.com
you want them to see your blog, then that’s where you need to upload the files to.
Unzip the wordpress download, and open the folder.
You should see a long list of files, and folders.
Upload all of them, at once, to your main directory. As it uploads, the directories wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes, wp-images will be automatically created.
Once that is all done, then go to the link above.

make sure that you change the name of the file ‘wp-config-sample.php’ into ‘wp-config.php’

done – but somehow there’s only files and no directories created during the upload..
could that have to do with the server or something?
maybe i’ll just leave it and stick with my good ol’ html…
