“There are no shipping methods available.” Bug – Help!

My client recently contacted me to report that after adding an item to cart, both cart page and checkout pages show message “There are no shipping methods available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.”.
I tracked this down to your plugin (which we have had no issues with before this), which if your plugin is turned off the shipping methods show up fine again. Can you help with this?
