Google is able to reach your feed (the last line of the feed displays the last time they crawled any of your feeds).

Since they can reach it, there must be a problem with them reading and displaying it through the Publisher Center.

If you run your feed through the RSS Validator, you’ll see that it’s valid, but there is an ‘invalid html’ error listed. In the past, I’ve found that that often causes a problem with articles rendering in the Publisher Center.

The invalid html issue seems to be located in the ‘Gautam Gambhir: Indian cricket…’ article. I haven’t been able to figure out exactly where the issue is though, is there something different in the html or layout or formatting or included in that article?

Hi Chris,

There is nothing in the article that should throw error. It’s just plain text with an embed link to a video and that’s it.

I’ve been testing using the RSS Validator and it is the embed that is causing that error.

If you’re up for it, it would be great to test to see if this is what’s causing the problem with rendering the feed in the Publisher Center. Would it be possible to remove the embed/iframe temporarily, save the post, then in the Publisher Center refresh the feed, give it about ten minutes, then reload the Publisher Center page and on the ‘content’ tab, click on ‘articles’ link for that section to see if they have loaded?

Testing and experimenting is the only way I know to find the root of the problem, then we can try to deal with it,

I have now removed the embed from my post.

Also would like to point out though Google publisher centre keeps saying “You haven’t added any content to this section yet” when I go to test publication link I see all posts there: https://news.google.com/publications/CAAqBwgKMJTPnwswodm3Aw?hl=en-IN&gl=IN&ceid=IN:en

Yeh, that’s weird, if it was reporting that the section was empty, it seems like that should be empty too. That’s the way it normally works.

Did removing the embed get the section in the Publisher Center to load?
