    Hello,
    Freshly installed postie on a WP 4.5.3 site attaching to a postfix mail server with courier IMAP server.

    Postie is successfully connecting to the IMAP server, but not detecting the presence of any mail.

    I’m looking for suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

    Postie is looking in the INBOX folder, is that where your emails are?

    Hmmm, well I use by default Maildir config.
    INBOX is not defined by default.

    So, switched the UID to MBOX delivery in /var/spool/mail/UID
    Explicitly set INBOX in ~/.profile

    And still reporting as 0 emails to process.

    I am using a self administered mail server and can make any reasonable changes. ie switching IMAP servers would give me pause.

    Sorry, I am not an email admin and don’t have any experience with your setup.

    Can you use POP instead of IMAP?

    I’m switching to IMAP without SSL and capturing the session for analysis in Wireshark. Let me know if you’re interested in the capture.
