Themes WP 1.2.2

  • My web host uses WP 1.2.2. for its customers. I’ve just switched to WP from Moveable Type, and I’d like to change the default theme. I’ve seen lots of people mention the Presentation section on the site, but I can’t seem to find this in version 1.2.2 of WP.

    Is there an easy way for users of this version to apply/change the default appearance for WP 1.2.2? If not, as someone who has never installed WP before, is upgrading an arduous process?

  • “Presentation” is a 1.5 feature. 1.5 is presently in beta.

    For themes in 1.2.x, you’ll have to go about setting things up with whatever specifics are required for a specific theme. Some are fairly easy and only need you to replace the index.php and wp-layout.css files. Some are more complicated…See this thread for a number of themes/designs available:
