• Hello! I noticed with the recent upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2 that my custom smilies were gone. Not a big deal, as I re-upload them and change the functions.php file when I need to.

I went to do that and noticed that my theme’s function.php file is completely different. There is no function smilies_init() command anywhere in the file, and I noticed a bit of weirdness pertaining to social networks:

Is this normal? It was definitely NOT in the file I had before upgrading.

AND….every time I replace the current functions.php file with the one which came with the theme, it reverts back to the one I just deleted.

Okay. I see that the functions.php file I needed to change was in wp-includes, and not in my theme. I am still confused about the links to all the Mike Myers movie stuff which doesn’t show up in my blog anywhere, though.
