Themes not working on multisite except twentyfifteen

  • Just installed multisite and it seems to be working for setting up new sites on the main site. Only my twentyfifteen theme works though. The other themes (one called Kichu and one that is custom (I built) don’t work. They appear to work — they display in “Themes” and I can “activate them” but when activated I visit the site to find nothing — a blank white page.

    Any idea what is going on?

  • did you create a new page on these new sites?

    dashboard -> settings -> reading
    so you can select a front page display?

    in wp-config.php I have:
    define(‘WPLANG’, ”);
    define(‘WP_DEFAULT_THEME’, ‘Avada’);

    where Avada is the default theme name for all my new sites, and that works ok for me..

    Yes, I have that as well, but it makes no difference.

    You probably have done this but have you gone into Network Administrator > Themes > Activate desired theme . Back to your main site dashboard > Themes

    Yes, done all the combinations with installing / activating / deleting themes several times. Thanks though
