• I have loaded up three new themes to the themes folder and unzipped them in turn. The new sub-folders all look like the existing theme folders with each new, individual theme folder containing the index.php file etc. However, none of the themes are showing up in WordPress in the appearance / themes area of v 3.8.1. The only option I have on that page is to search the four existing themes and no option to add new themes in the appearance / themes area.
How do I get these themes visible in Word press? By the way, the permissions (7-5-5) for the three new themes are all set exactly as the existing four that show. That is, User (read/write/execute); group (read/execute); world (read/execute). Thank you! Angus

p.s Does anyone know here to find the ‘extend section’ in this forum?? TY

  • Where did you download these themes from?

Does anyone know here to find the ‘extend section’ in this forum

Sorry? I’m not sure what you mean by “extend section”?

Hi esmi, two of the themes are from fabthemes.com (wallbase and Kronos). The terms ‘extended section’ is in the wordpress support help menu explaining that it is a good idea to add a new topic to an existing topic as a new thread and to do that using the ‘extend section’ button – but I could not find such a button and hence started an entirely new theme instead! Thx
