• Hi… I have a theme installed which looks great with most of the widgets. However, the search widget does not seem to adhere to the theme properties as well as another downloaded plugin with a widget. Also, other downloaded plugins/widgets do work.

    Is this a problem within the widget itself? I find this hard to believe that the search widget would do this as it is bundled with the wordpress software!

    This is the code:

    </form>

    </div>

    ‘ <h3>Tell a Friend</h3> ”
    <div class=”sideblock”><form action=”” method=”post”>
    <p>Your Name*: <input type=”text” name=”myname” /></p> ‘

    From what I can tell from the source code in Safari, and from the widgets that are working correctly, the h3 tags should be after the div tag which has the sideblock class in it. But it isnt for some reason.

    Does anyone have any ideas please? Also, the url is;

    Cheers,
    Maarten

  • You need to start by removing the replicated </body></html> tags in your footer.php file.

    Are the other widgets native to WordPress?

    Thanks esmi,

    I have removed the replicated tags but still no diffenrence.

    The recent posts and recent comments widgets and of course the search widget are native to WordPress but the login and events widgets are not.

    Thanks again, do you have anymore ideas?
