Themes home page not importing

  • Installed WordPress, installed theme with no errors but the home page does not install. Any theme I install does the same thing, no home page. My sites always start on the shop page. If I install a theme directly from within wordpress I get the same thing. I need help please.

    What do you have set in settings->reading for the home page?

    Do I understand correctly that you are trying to make the homepage look like the demo? If so, would you please tell us what theme you are using? I tried to figure this out on my own using developer tools in my browser but it is not so easy because there seem to be many themes with the same name.
