Themes: Designerex & Pure Magazine (Hostgator Issue)

  • I have two Word Press sites using the above themes. Both are hosted on Hostgator. Both have video plug ins for their front page that use the main links from You Tube (i.e., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGI_Mpt4Gus) as opposed to the iframe embed or the short link provided by You Tube.

    I was able, based on advice I found in other posts, to get them to add following rules [ 1234234, 340151 ] to mod_security and whitelist for the domains.

    I have seen both templates on sites, using other hosts, and they work fine. Since Hostgator seems to have run out of ideas I figured I’d ask here and see if anyone had something new.

    You can see the Designerex site at https://www.MotelHell2012.com. I yanked all the videos off of the Pure Magazine site for now until I can, at least, get one running.

    Well, half way there. As it turns out the Designerex site only needs the part of the You Tube address after the = sign. The rest is already included in the app. Gosh, I wish they’d mentioned that. It would have saved me gallons of bourbon.
