    Hey,
Can I add a custom section to the scrolling front page?

I can “hide” sections. And the sections I choose to keep are really restricted in what I can to to them.

I really need to add a section of HTML.

Is this possible? If not – I will probably have to scrap my progress and look elsewhere.

I need some ares that look exactly like what is shown here on the ThemeIsle page: https://themeisle.com/themes/zerif-lite/
(the two columns where it says Responsive Design, Be Easily Contacted, and Show Them All) – Except I need full control over what I put there.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

This can only be done if you modify php files. It’s not possible from the WordPress dashboard. ??

    Hi Hardeep,
Could you guide on how to do that?

    Hi ,

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t support this customization and as much as I would love to help with some custom code, this is beyond the support offered for the free products, which consist in bug fixing and theme documentation.

    Hardeep

    Install plugins:
    SiteOrigin Page Builder
    and
    SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle

In those plugins will be a text box widget that you can easily add to any of the widgetized areas of the theme. You have the option to add the text inside the box – in plain text or code.

If you would like to match the fonts of the site, the font used in Zerif-Lite is the Google Font Lato

Install the Easy Google Fonts plugin if you want to be able to control the fonts in the new text box you’ve added.

Another thought, have you tried adding the html code into the text area of one of the ribbon sections?

I want to add a map in this theme, how is it possible?

    Hello,

That is a feature available in the Pro version of the theme. Maybe you should consider an upgrade.

    Best regards,
    Alexandra
