    Hi all,

I installed the Fleur De Lys theme as instructed. In the admin section I can see the complete theme. When I load the theme, the theme shows on the website but all the associated graphics do not.

It is installed as wp-content/themes/fleur/img/ — so I know that it is foldered and filed correctly. The stylesheet makes the normal calls — ‘img/whatever-graphic’

So I am now at a loss? Any ideals.

    Thanks in advance, Ken

https://www.sr747-eagles.org is my site and here is the site that shows what this theme should look like when it’s working https://playwith.wpthemes.info/

  • Try reuploading the /img directory, but make sure you’re in BIN or binary mode. In glancing at the images, they seem to be corrupted.

Hi Handy Solo — I did re-FTP the images file — but they are still a no show.

sunburntkamel — When you say it started working for you — can you tell me if you mean it looks like the following : https://playwith.wpthemes.info/

Thanks for all the suggesstions, Ken

hmm, actually, it only shows the top image.
the top image works after i right-click on the header, and view background image.

Wow, nice screenshot ?? I can’t even get it to do that much — so at least we know the graphics are there — Do you know much about the Fantastico installation via Cpanel? That is how I installed Word Press, it makes me wonder if there is not some sort of corruption in the install file using that method.

As of right now the only theme I can get to show properly is the “Classic” theme, the “Default” blue theme will not show its graphics either.

    just for testing.

1.make a copy of the header image.
    2.call it somename.jpg
3.upload it to the img folder inside the fleur.
4.change the stylesheet to point to this new image you just uploaded.
    5.clear the browser cache
    6.reload the page again.

see if that fixes the problem.

    Hi sadish,

Sorry to say but that did not work either. I’m at a loss — it really makes no sense at all.

It is truly odd. I see no images. Yet, if I click where the header should be and select “View Image”, I see it. More interestingly, when I hit the back button to get to your site after viewing the head… the head image now shows.

So, after diligently hunting them all down and doing “view image” and “back”. heh, site looks good. Until I leave and come back.

No solution and no ideas. But the damndest thing I’ve seen in quite a while.

sometimes you can run into issues with the difference between (and this probably won’t show up)

    url (‘someimage.jpg’)

    and

    url (someimage.jpg)

you could try going into style.css (from the dashboard, go to presentation > theme editor, it’s the default there)

and removing the backticks every time an image is called.

This may have something to do with hotlink protection. I tried to display the banner image on a local setup and cannot. Also, when I link to it, the refer ends up with this as the url:

    https://(www.)/?pack-26-texas.org(/)%3f.*

However, I can get to the image just fine if I go to it directly. Here, try this:

yeah, that’s messed up. the link redirects like you posted.
can you turn of hotlink protection, or make an exception for your own site?

That depends entirely on what is being used for setting hotlink protection on your site. But, it’s not a WordPress feature.

    Hi folks,

Thank you — thank you — thank you!!!!!

Kafkaesqui had the correct answer, it was the “hotlink” protection. I had to go in and manually tell CPanel that it was allowed to show the graphics. Because of other sites I run where hotlinking is an issue, I had set up hotlinking protection to keep people from taking my bandwidth.

So now all is corrected and working — I appreciate all the help. I hope I can return the favor someday.

    Regards,
    Ken
